I just finished If You're With Me (A Promises of God Novella). This book showcase characters from A Promise of God series. Book One Though I Stumble, Book Two If I Believe and Book Three coming soon.Cash Tate chose a couple who have been through quite a bit separately and they both have baggage personally and it has taken them some time in different experiences to figure out what “If You’re With Me†means to them. Watching their journey was a true blessing. I had moments of being choked up fighting against my tears. I’m going to get Kim. I cannot be crying on public transportation.Just as Faith's family understands they cannot have Christmas w/out Christ. As the family shared the promises of Christmas devotions they personally wrote my heart was bursting with pride. I love Bible Study, I enjoy writing devotions and family activities but this activity was based on the King of Kings, the One who left us His peace this holiday season. For such a time as this we all need the reminders He left for US, us being you and me.Outstanding read.
This is a great "in between" novel in the Promises of God series. (I really hope that there's actually a Promises of God devotional in the works because that would seriously be awesome). You definitely need to read the first two books before reading this one, because you need to know who the characters are and what their relationships are like, otherwise you will be lost.I loved this short story, although I definitely wanted it to be longer! It focuses on Reggie and Faith--Reggie's wrestling with his past and Faith's learning to lean on God and not on her own understanding. I honestly wanted to shake Reggie a few times throughout the story because I thought he was making very poor choices emotionally. Overall the spiritual truths shine through and the characters learn, grow, and move forward despite their all-too-human struggles.The ending is heartfelt and whets the appetite for book 3 in the series.
I have been reading Ms. Kim's books now for 6 months and I love everyone of them. I connected with Faith in this one, because God has been dealing with me regarding my focus on Him. I didn't understand the title until Faith began to share her Christmas Devo and I was simply blown away. Not only am I from St. Louis, the characters in her stories are so real, down to earth and humanly flawed. But not too flawed to where you can't connect with them. I love the sisterhood that is portrayed, the commitment to marriage, friendship and the bond of brotherhood. Also, that African-American people are ones of trust, love, honesty, tears, and unity. I can honestly say that Kim Cash Tate is my now and forever favorite author. No matter which book you pick up to read from her, you will love it.
Good morning Ms. Kim, all I can say is whew.. blowing breath. Thank you, I've been up since 5 am DMV time lol. So much connection, I don't want to drag it out. 1st, I graduated from Morgan; 2nd, my family and I have been doing our devos on Psalms and 3rd, Chapter 9 had me in tears to see the love Jesus has just for us personally. My message on Sunday was about His birth, death and resurrection. He came so that we might have life and life to the fullest.I am so blessed to have encountered your ministry. You know you have a sister back home rooting for you lol.I wait in expectation for Book 3 to see what happens with Tommy.

The author has an amazing gift of making her characters come alive. You get personally invested in their lives. IAs I followed Faith's journey, my heart connected with her like family and close friends. I can't wait for book 3 of this series! I am missing my friends already...

In usual form, Tate delivers multifaceted characters with real life relationship issues. Faith and Reggie confront their separate pasts and their collective future all while growing in God’s grace. Ministry through the Word is consistently on point as usual. Buy it, read it, share it. You won’t be disappointed!
I've just got so lost in Faith and Reggie love for one another, Faith made a message in College fell for the wrong guy, I can testify to that one myself I was Faith..... but God never throw us away He's always right there with open arms to reason us when we've mad mistakes, I love the devo Christmas promises I don't know how Kim came up with that but I loved it, great bible verses, to bring it all together, just wonderful. My heart truly broke for Tommy, Kim please let him get his double blessing f or all he been through. Great book a must read to read what true love is, for God, family, your friends, Every time I read one of Kim books I'm just amazed it get better and better with each new book. Kim thank you, for your God gifted talent.. I just learn a new level of God love through your books.. For me, this novella showed how we often allow or emotions to dictate what we do rather than spending the time to think and pray. Getting caught up in the moment makes for decisions we may later regret. This novella also shows how important it is to forgive and cut ties, or else continually be challenged by past relationships that were not given closure. I would recommend all of the authors books to my friends who love Christian fiction that opens up the scriptures and put them to practical every day use. I chose this rating because I always find somethong I can relate to in Kim's books. I believe they are well written and they demonstrate the practicality of the scriptures. This is so important for believers to know that scriptures relate to our everyday lives and we can understand that if we take the time to consider them. This novella is a great appetizer for book three. I can't wait to find out what the other characters, I call them my friends, are up to.
