This is an excellent book; the section on systematic troubleshooting is alone worth the cost of the book. There have been a lot of changes in our industry since this book was first written, nevertheless, the fundamentals have not changed. Physics is Physics. The tools we use to analyze super heat and sub cooling have improved (so they say) but what that super heat and sub cooling are telling us is the same, and understanding what that means for the operation of a system is one of the things this book does so well at explaining. I recommend it.
